My mother has a fair chunk of money set aside for retirement and I've convinced her that buying 1 Bitcoin when I tell her to is a good idea.

I'm having second thoughts. Gambling my own money is one thing, but gambling my mother's retirement money? Should i get her to buy into this dip?

Put it in 80% bonds or CDs. She needs to live on this money.

Why not have her buy something that's sure to go up like XMR, BLOCK, ADA, etc.?
Those are way less of a gamble than BTC right now imo.

if she has >six figures, saved up or in the market, sure

if she has less than that and is well into middle age, she does not have a fair chunk of money for retirement and you should be cautious
