You really think converting your hard-earned BTCs into XMR will preserve your investment during the incoming crash? Think again, anon. XMR's value is deeply tied to BTC's. XMR is only used in the transaction process, BTC is used when cashing out. If BTC crashes, XMR dies.

XMR is terrible to actually use. Only handles 4k-6k transactions/day yet the fees are already near bitcoin levels.

>> No.4612218

It’s not a hedge against a BTC crash you brainlet. If BTC crashes EVERY coin crashes. Yeah, that includes all your shitcoins OP.

Crypto is getting real. Regulations and the tax man are inevitable. The IRS is fucking suing Coinbase as we speak. Once the government comes knocking, and it absolutely will, people will hide their wealth in Monero. Fucking screen cap this.

>> No.4612296

>>4612218

That's the problem. Monero only has a value because Bitcoin has a value. If crypto dies, Monero dies with it.

Crypto isn't fucking dying. Thats like saying the internet died after the dotcom bubble burst.

>Monero only has a value because Bitcoin has a value
Wtf? Monero's value is privacy. Hiding your wealth. Whether that wealth came from Bitcoin or god damn Bitconnect doesn't matter in the slightest

in september monero was worth half, but it's using that tx fee in xmr anyway.
also you can't buy privacy on a btc transaction, but it's included for free on xmr

>> No.4612491

>>4612142
that actually makes 0 sense

if bitcoin crashes, monero has no reason to crash with it. lets say monero is $200 and btc crashes to 6K. why would that change your ability to cash out? you'll just have greater purchasing power monero --> BTC and you will cash just the same.

No, this site use the fee from the date, it doesn't go backwards to recalculate based on current day price if that's what you're implying.

Also BTC has confidential transactions in development.

It's actually the least correlated of all big crypto's to BTC
>XMR is only used in the transaction process
going from BTC=>XMR=>BTC is traceable unless you jump through a bunch of hoops
>BTC is used when cashing out
I can actually also cash out in Dash, Monero, BCash and LTC
