Is studying business and commerce/Law at university in Australia a good idea?

Specifically at UWS.

Whats the benefits? I want to study, but honestly don't know what to do with it.

So far economic theory and Marketing are bretty gud, but what are the options for my degree?

But honestly, I sometimes just think to myself why not just start my own business or emulate my fathers, or someshit.

Top kek m80

But you should be alright as long as you get work experience/internships before you graduate (like any degree).

Parramatta or Kingswood? Fuck I hated that place

Simillar to OP is it worth doing a commerce at Deakin? Also thinking about majoring in Accounting, what would the best subject to major in?

Don't bother with law if you want to work as an accountant. Just study accounting or accounting/finance double major would be even better if you can complete it in 6 years. If you want to be a lawyer, accounting is a good second major.

Comm/law is very good if you can get into UNSW/USYD. It can also be good if you get good marks at MACQ/UTS/UOW , otherwise you're probably better off just doing accounting/finance. The big law firms only take the best of the best, law degrees are expensive monetarily as well as the time commitment. Law degrees will often rape your WAM too and the employment statistics are abysmal. You'll also make just as much if not more money as an accountant (and significantly more as a banker obviously).

You won't get a good job in Law with a degree from UWS. That's the hard truth. A distinction average might get you into a local practice or something though.

Same with finance. Investment Banks are elitist as fuck, and hire 90%+ of their graduate intake from UNSW/USYD/UMELB.

Accounting it won't matter. Even the Big 4 don't really care which Uni you went to, as long as you have experience and a credit average.

Law has the side benefit of being an unspoken requirement when getting promoted to the upper echelons.
