I am posting this in response to http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014/08/why-the-head-of-mt-gox-bitcoin-exchange-should-be-in-jail/
With documents that entirely disprove this. The truth is Mark Karpeles had nothing to do with "Internet Commerce Fraud". The accusation comes from the leaking of the Graal.net SQL database back in 2006 which had no financial information and itself not related to commerce at all! The Graal. I was there in the IRC when it happened, The Graal.net database was leaked by a guy named JellyFish "Rob from New Jersey" from him running simple security auditor on the domain. It used an outdated version of PostGreSQL with username of postgres and password field blank. Mark Karpeles had absolutely NOTHING to do with that! The rest of the accusations from Stephane Portha are also unfounded B.S. and lies as the documents I dump here will clearly show. Also Stephane Portha did not file proper service against Mark Karpeles in order to get a default judgment due to the fact that he knew in bad faith he would lose if Mark Karpeles had a chance to defend himself.

As does Stephane Portha's history of being a scumbag liar thief and scammer. Mark Karpeles may not be innocent in other things, but in this situation it's a complete lie and screw job. I am setting the record straight because I hate Stephane Portha just a little more than I do Mark... If people want to bash and go after Karpeles there are plenty of real legitimate things to do it with.

Disputes over domain names and companies including nezumi.fr and ff.st . Stephane claims Mark spends too much time on IRC and refuses to pay him. Mark gets mad and gives notice that he quits. Stephane claims mark never sent in the notice and starts attacking him with BS cases. Mark provides copies of documents with postage proving he did give notice. Stephane then blames Mark for leaking the Graal.net database without one shred of proof or evidence, proof then comes out that other people did it and his own lack of security is to blame. Stephane ridiculously claims that a picture of Mark with a Samurai sword is a threat against him. All B.S., all proven lies over a decade ago! Mark might be bad, but because of other issues and not this. A generalized summary, I don't speak or understand french very well.

That's it for the docs side of things for now. Mark Karpeles himself sent these to me back in 2006 on IRC. He was personable and open about the matter. I tried to contact Stephane Portha back then but his reply was "you are looking into thing yous should not be shut up now or be deaded by french police!". So i'm pretty sure Stephane Portha was/is operating in bad faith in this matter.

Anyone who has had the displeasure of dealing with Stephane knows that he likes to brag, tell stories and make up lies about pretty much everything all the time. So why is it he declined to comment on a case he supposedly won? I'll tell you why, because he lied/purgered himself to the court intentionally, knowingly and in bad faith. Any further comment from him could be used against him once he is exposed as a liar and criminal.

I will repeat for the last time that I am not Mark Karpeles and I barely knew the guy. The last time I had direct contact with him was around 2006 when he sent me the documents related to this case that I posted here.

Trust me Stephane Portha winning or spreading lies about anything won't help anyone get their bitcoins back. Stephane is total scum and 1000 times worse than Mark even if he did steal 800k of bitcoins which there is no evidence of at this time. It is also just as likely that Stephane is involved in attacking or stealing from MtGox as Mark is... If you hate Mark then use one of the true real issues to go after him with. Rewarding Stephane Portha who is another scumbag will only hurt everyone else more.
