1. find PC that you will never need to use again

2. turn it offline

3. download this webpage --> https://www.bitaddress.org onto a USB stick

4. generate wallet offline on your computer

5. print out a few copies of your private key onto paper wallets

6. send all your bitcoin there, hide the pieces on paper inside of a gun safe. make sure anything with your private key used to print out or crate doesn't come back online

you run the script offline

>> No.4221405

Not really. You can download the HTML (with the bundled JavaScript) and run it offline.

This way you guarantee that no suspicious request goes out. Besides, the site is legit, and you can check the checksum in order to prove its not been tampered with.

Yes. In the end your bitcoins is actually just your private key. As long as you have your private key (written down somewhere, stored text file in a USB, tattooed in your body, whatever you want), you have your bitcoins.

If you lose the private key, your bitcoins are lost.
