How many times a week is your life affected by the Oracle problem? Be honest.

>> No.4122955

None because it's been solved

Couple times a day, maybe. Not really affected by the oracle problem, I just dont really think about it. I'm kind of just in and out of the bathroom, dont need to know how the toilet flushes, it just needs to flush.

I wanted to fuck some whore but she wanted me to pay up front. I suggested we set up a smart contract so the money is transfered to her once I bust a nut but we couldn’t find a suitable decentralized oracle at the time to mediate between my dick and the blockchain.

Remember a few days ago when Binance got drained of all the LINK in it's hotwallet and everybody was freaking out?
There's one.

Ever ordered a burger at McDonalds and some drunk guy takes it when he hears his number called out?
There's another. Not sure how you would actually solve it without some kind of RF chip or barcode which you could scan on your Smart Contract App on your phone to confirm...

Remember in 2008 when for 8 seconds Felipe Massa was Formula One world champion, and then Hamilton overtook that shitty backmarker and won by like a single point? I'd like to see a Smart Contract that can deal with that.

So yeah, there's like a bazzilion, common occurrences that require Oracles to confirm that a transaction has been completed correctly - the question is: what does the Oracle trust.

And this is why I'm not sold on Link

Exactly. It's really overvalued at the moment. Even Vitalik Buterin is saying it.
