Uncapped ICO. "Token value will be determined by how much we get in the ICO".

So literally zero people get shut out of the ICO, meaning there will be zero buy pressure, and the devs are asking for essentially infinite money for an open source project that Disney dropped.

It is worse than that. A good portion of the people who bought at the beginning of the ICO did not think the ICO would raise this much money. That means they will think the token is overvalued the second it is tradable. The Game Theoretic winning strategy is to wait to the end of the auction. Although this market isn't rational, some will act rationally, and there could potentially be a rush of funds at the very last minute (probably not because the ICO is probably overvalued already).

They didn't raise nearly as much as I thought they would have. Huh. The winning strategy is to wait until the very end of the auction. There is still risk because many others can use the same strategy. If you think the ICO is severely undervalued then buy in at the last minute.

I might show that people are very cautious about Uncapped ICOs, which is a good thing since they are Game Theoretically fucking horrible. Actually worse than horrible. Any company using one deserves to run into FUD. Just look at how Bancor turned out for investors. Investors now are avoiding Uncapped ICOs. Or there are a lot more smart investors out there than I think, and there will be a rush at the end of this ICO to get in.
