1000 LINK = 21 BTC
since max supply is 1 billion LINK and 21 million BTC

Now can ChainLink network be as big as PayPal? PayPal has a market cap of 84B which is almost the same size that bitcoin has today. If ChainLink serves most of the worlds insurance data, bank data, weather data, traffic data, location data, car data, surveillance data and so forth. Is it fair to say ChainLink could be as big as PayPal? Now we are talking 10 years in the future of course. If that happens one could say that I will own LINK that has the same value as about 300 BTC today. The thought is certainly interesting.

if they had the same market cap 21 BTC would equal 1000 LINK. That isn't an argument, that is a fact

No, I don't think they will. But if smart contracts become a big thing in the future and if ChainLink serves most of the data for those contracts ChainLink can reach the market cap that bitcoin has today. By that time bitcoin will perhaps have a much larger market cap.

At this point i'll be satisfied with LINK hitting OmiseGo's marketcap. Its total fucking bullshit for LINK to have this marketcap while other unused projects would be valuated more. Even LISK's marketcap (600m) would be alright.

It wasn't clear but I think that's what he meant
