You don't have many options desu, they all have their pros and cons. Honestly the fees are nominal and proportional to the amount you want to spend on Coinbase. For me, it is the easiest and most convenient. I like being able to auto-buy a few hundred dollars of eth, btc & ltc on a weekly basis. That way, when I see a good deal, I have coin ready to go to an exchange. I can also pay my friends for little things instead of using PayPal or venmo (which are both fine) but crypto is more fun, anyways. Coinbase is my goto.

if you buy through gdax you get a better price when using coinbase, unless there's a flash crash and you lock in a good ass price (you can even arbitrage this way but there's a 10k limit i believe and they will not raise it if you're doing this). i think gemini is the only alternative if you're a burger, or localbitcoins if you want to take a risk for better service.

Seriously need a sticky on this. To purchase without any fees transfer USD/GBP to Coinbase/GDAX via ACH transfer for no fee. Transfer the funds to GDAX for no fee. Place a market limit order on the market to buy without fee.

try kraken or gemini. coinbase is fucking gay and will lock your account and never get back to you.
I had an account there and bought 2 btc then transfered them out almost immediately to another exchange, 20 minutes later i go to log back in and my account on cb is locked. i put in request ticket and waited 8 days. tried reddit and everything else but still havent heard anything back.
Kraken and Gemini seem the best
