Here's why..

Read this executive summary by US Trade Administration issued in 2016.
https://www.trade.gov/topmarkets/pdf/Cold_Chain_Executive_Summary.pdf

"Experts also estimate that cold chain logistics spending in support of biopharma industry is more than $10 billion and is expected to grow to $13 billion by 2019. Asia alone contributes to $1.2 billion in growth. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of cold chain markets is anticipated to reach nearly 16 percent into 2019."

"Cold chain spending in the biopharma industry on insulated boxes, blankets, phase change materials,
temperature controlled shipping containers, sensors and recorders, and other tertiary packing and
instrumentation is estimated at $3.1 billion."

Pharmaceutical cold chain logistics is a $12.6-billion global industry
http://pharmaceuticalcommerce.com/supply-chain-logistics/pharmaceutical-cold-chain-logistics-is-a-12-6-billion-global-industry/

"By 2020, pharma cold-chain logistics will be worth $16.7 billion, and non-cold chain at $77.1 billion (Fig. 2)."

CONGRATS TO THOSE WHO BOUGHT UNDER $1. FIRST TO MARKET WITH DEVICES READY TO ROLL AND TWO BIG PHARMA CLIENTS. Unlike most temp sensors that can be fudged, blockchain will make it impossible, therefore no way FDA will beat down pharma bro doors.

Market cap at $15 million is a bargain!

WALTON (WTC) has a market cap of $200 million, yet the ENTIRE CHINESE RFID market in 2014 was just $1.7 billion. Source: https://www.idtechex.com/research/reports/rfid-in-china-2015-2025-forecasts-players-opportunities-000435.asp

continued...

MODUM is in a market worth $10 billion, with cold chain tech at $3.1 billion.

How do I know this? I am employed as cold chain packaging engineer and I know how much money and time these big greedy pharmacy corps will save with these suckers.

and yes, I know about the 50% pre-sale. I was one in that.. I loaded up more today after I got my paycheck (about 65 ETH worth on ED) and will not sell early. People who sell now are stupid. 2x gains that could of been 10-20x gains.

Blockchain is used for trustless information sharing between multiple carriers in the shipping industry.

A friend of mine runs a company that helps pair up truckers with companies receiving from ports. While not Modum, it has a similar complexity. Let me explain.

I sell product X 30 miles outside of Los Angelas. I am importing product X from China.

Product X is in a shipping container which is rented. The shipping container is on a ship. The ship docks in the port of LA and remains there for two weeks. I contract a trucker to load the shipping container on their vehicle. The trucker unloads the items, and returns the shipping container to the docked ship three days later. The ship departs four days later.

The shipping container needs to be ACCOUNTABLY temperature controlled when being handled and accounted for by multiple parties.

Aside from that technical challenge, let's just talk about the contracting of truckers stage. The software that pairs up product companies with truckers and shippers is ARCHAIC, and companies resort to using a virtual windows XP machine to run the shit software.

It blew my mind when I learned about this. Hope this helps.

Dividends will be paid to tokenholders in ETH.
From the FAQ:
How does the profit sharing process work?
The profit share smart contract is open source.
A payment equivalent to the part of the profit generated by modum.io AG which is used for dividend payments as proposed by the board of modum and subsequently enacted by the shareholders will be forwarded to all MOD Tokenholders. The profit fiat amount is converted to Ether and sent to the modum smart contract. The modum smart contract evaluates the current holdings and distributes the profits to token holder in Ether. Tokens that are locked for the shareholders of modum.io do not come with profit participation rights for the entire duration of the lock-up.

I explained in my wall of text earlier. Multiple companies share logistical equipment with shipping, and data sharing is a huge nightmare that runs on archaic software. Many modern technologies can solve this issue, and we are seeing one solution with Modum. Perhaps trustless verification (via blockchain) will prove to be a useful medium for information sharing between multiple companies renting the same equipment (ex: shipping containers) for logistics? Time will tell.

If you invest to any project just do your own research and if you see the potential of the project don`t listen FUDers, just buy and wait you will see the result.
