What sort of benefits come with owning the Modum ICO token?

Each token will yield one vote at each of the predetermined milestones. The milestones will occur in October 2017, Q1 2018, Q1 2019, and Q1 2020. The modum team will lay out specific benchmarks to align the internal goals with token holder incentives. Token holders will vote on releasing internally held tokens to the team if they believe benchmarks have been met. Additionally, each token will come with profit sharing rights. We cannot forecast profit sharing payouts but we do forecast a break even in 2018.

PROFIT SHARING RIGHTS IN A $1.072 P/YR TRILLION GLOBAL PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY. LET THAT SINK IN FOR A MOMENT.

+ Food sensor and tracking is very common and lots of companies are doing it already. Ambrosus faces stiff competition in the traditional space, such as GlobeRanger, Oceansoft, and Blue Maestro, as well as in the blockchain space from Modum.
+ Modum has a blockchain-based temperature tracking system for medicinal products, with sensors that record environmental conditions during shipments. When goods change ownership, the data is checked against Ethereum smart contracts to validate the transaction and triggers alerts, payments, etc.
+ Modum already has a working product with 43 REGISTERED COMPANIES and 844 SHIPMENTS, which is more advanced than Ambrosus.
+ They were featured on Nasdaq, World Economic Forum, among others, and have won several awards including Kickstarter Accelerator 2016.
+ Their token sale started on September 1, 2017 and their hard cap is $16.4 million – 16% of what Ambrosus is asking.
+ When asked about the difference between Ambrosus and Modum, Ambrosus keeps mentioning that they are creating a blockchain and Modum is not. However, is it necessary?

STILL UNDER ICO PRICE!!. ICO WAS 0.0032906369 ETH

Bullshit, I paid something around 0.0018 ETH.
There were different tiers and ETH was valued by its USD value. There was no fixed ICO price.

What Is Modum?
Modum, found online at Modum.io, is a blockchain technology that aims to enhance data integrity for physical products. The goal of Modum is to streamline supply chain processes across industries.

To do that, Modum uses a combination of IoT sensors and blockchain technology. Together, these platforms provide data integrity during the transaction of physical products. Sensors scan the physical product, and a record of that scan is recorded into the blockchain.

Modum isn’t actually a blockchain platform: the company’s technology involves smart contracts. Modum provides blockchain-agnostic smart contracts that can be adapted for use across a variety of industries. The technology is particularly targeted towards industries where accountability in the supply chain is crucial – like in the pharmaceutical industry.

For the pharmaceutical industry, Modum has created smart sensors that track the temperature of packages. The temperature of each package is recorded in the blockchain. Obviously, in the pharmaceutical industry and other industries, temperatures are extremely important when shipping ingredients or finished drugs. That’s where Switzerland-based Modum sees an opportunity.

Modum is a supply chain technology that involves the use of smart sensors and smart contracts. The smart sensors scan a product’s packaging to determine the temperature of the package. Then, that information is recorded into the smart contract on the blockchain. The Modum platform is blockchain agnostic, although the company claims to have tested the service on Ethereum so far with TWO MAJOR clients.

NEW EU REGULATIONS MEANS EVERY PHARMA COMPANY WILL BE REQUIRED TO ADD THESE DEVICES OR FACE MASSIVE FINES. WHOSE GOING TO PROFIT FROM THIS? MODUM.

Modum started it's ICO yesterday and the first two tiers are sold out, with the 3rd and final tier 78% sold. Lots to like about this ICO including the low cap ($16 million USD), low coin circulation (30 million), working product with major contracts in place,

Modum develops sensors which measure specific criteria essential to the transit of various products, and these sensors then transmit the data to the Ethereum blockchain for data integrity purposes. Their current sensor measures temperature and is targeted specifically at the pharmaceutical industry which, in the EU, has been subject to a new law regulating the shipping temperatures necessary for various classifications of products. A solution in the industry hadn't arisen so compliance was nearly zero until Modum introduced their sensor/software/blockchain system thus providing a solution to documenting the adherence of pharmaceutical companies' transit conditions to law. An estimated 200 million shipments require such data integrity and Modum is first to market and already has several major contracts in place (notably with Schaer Pharma and the Swiss Post) and is ready to deploy. Their sensor has been tested in several thousand pilot test shipments and development will also be started on additional sensors for criteria such as light and vibration and targeted at additional industries.
Token holders: 1) a profit sharing structure will pay out profits to tokenholders in Ether 2) if shareholders in Modum AG receive dividend payments then tokenholders will be entitled to an equivalent payment in Ether 3) if Modum is bought out or a merger takes places tokenholders will be compensated.

*** MY bet is they will be acquired around $100mill. ***
That means each token holder will get ETH payout of around $3.30.
There's no other company that is this far ahead of schedule right now with market ready devices.

Swiss made + EU regulation + market ready. No competitor. Buyout likely.

That's quite different from WTC
1) it's not RFID (it's a sensor)
2) it's running on Ethereum
3) it can't be used as a currency like WTC to buy things directly on the blockchain with a proof of property

Basically the whole money to make there will depends of the dividends decided by the Modum.io boards (on which token holders have no rights).

Also:
> Q1 2018 should see the initial commercial operations of modum’s system. While the relatively slow roll-out represented by initial operations being confined to the Swiss markets does not bode well for prospective token holders hoping for massive early profits and quick dividends, the longer term value of a moderately paced introduction to the market may provide the team with a better opportunity to address any issues that may emerge, and ultimately to create a stronger foundation for future expansion.

I don't know, could be good buy or a total shitcoin because a lot of companies don't give dividends on their profits or only a tiny tiny fraction.
