ok I am a first time bitcoin buyer. and I purchased 500.00 in bitcoin on coinbase tonight around 8:00 mountain time. that transaction went though quick and easy. but from my research I needed to move my coins to a wallet that will support bitcoin gold. so I had created a wallet on coinomi before I created the coinbase wallet. so here is what I did. first I went to my coinbase btc wallet. went to send sent like 481.00 to coinomi btc wallet I copied both addresses and pasted the address for coinomi on coinbase and sent the 480 to the coinomi address. after that I noticed on the coinomi wallet there is a place to change the value of the amount to receive and the qr code changes. luckly the number & letter address stays the same. "I was freakin out" so I sent it to that address. but it does not end there. now on coinbase it still says pending for the transaction and I have not recived anything on my coinomi wallet. "I am still freaking out" lastly now that my bitcoin is in limbo what does this mean for the deadline when the fork happens with bitcoin gold? did I send the money right? if it is still pending is there any chance of it coming back to me if its still pending after a certain period of time. I have a lot of questions and now I am just bummed because I feel I did something wrong and don't know what is going to happen. any help would be nice.

Probably in limbo until after the fork is over with I know a lot of exchanges have btc wallets suspended because of that

You were probably too late for the bgold but you almost certainly didn't lose anything. If it's locked in coinbase you might get your bgold if they decide to support it later
