When is the fork happening?

I have 1 ETH on Binance right now waiting to snap up some Link when it gets cheaper. Should I should buy BTC instead, get some free BTG then put both into Link later?

Freeze happens in about 6 hours and 40 minutes (16:00 UTC), then the snapshot shortly after. Best bet is to sell alts that are traded mainly on Binance (WTC and LINK) and hold BTC. Then after the fork, depending on which way BTC is going, decide whether to go back into alts or ride BTC up to God-knows-where. Bitcoin Gold will be issued later, and no one know what its value will be yet. Most likely higher (relative to BTC) than Bitcoin Cash was.
