I have an engineering degree, but hate most of the government jobs and shitty "project manager" vanilla roles for $45k/year in fucktown, USA (there's a million of them and I don't want any of them).

So I'm planning on just moving to an unnamed shitty state with my gf, until she graduates from her school in February or thereabouts.

What are some good jobs you can find anywhere, in any small city, that either:
1. Pay above minimum wage without specific experience, OR
2. Pay min. wage but you can work online/no effort involved
?

I would ask in the /moneyfromhome/ thread but it seems to have disappeared.

Get a job in manufacturing.

You’re an engineer, be one.

Save up some money and start doing stocks, in 15 years maybe you’ll have enough to live off investments
