So you guys heard about this new project for a decentralized internet? It's supposed to start early 2018 and the whitepaper seems rather OK in theory and the current price is 0.15$.

This coin is wasted on /biz/. They chase oracles when they could be shown the face of God. Accumulate in peace and let those that choose to slumber sleep.

i agree, only cancer coins needing some fast PnD

If you'd be capable of reading more than 1 sentence, you would realize the projects aims to pay its users in coins for providing some of their computers bandwidth or resources to others who are censored in their country. Think of it as a VPN/Proxy in a way based on a blockchain.

I have a feeling burgers won't want to waste bw and electricity just so chinks and pajeets can get uncensored porn. Good luck with your shitcoin though, friendo.

I was wondering if they do the same as Golem, where they can rent server space or GPU space? I think that idea is so amazing, to make the whole of the internet a gigantic datacenter and compute power.

Burgers are irrelevant with their shit bandwidth, eurofags have cheap 1gbps. Also you get paid in SUB coins for the service, think of it as "useful/helpful" mining.

Have you never heard of projects like Folding at home?

The internet is literally just a means of communication between computational sources.

How are so many of you /biz/tards so retarded?

Have any of you done any actual research on the wealth of failed ""new internet"" projects?

Again. Top. Fucking. Kek.

hmm but you're saying the only benefit for burgers is that they get to collect coins which they can already do mining eth or btc. I guess you guys can go rely on eurofags but from what I hear from pol their economy is tanking so good luck my man.

No need to be nasty, anon! No, I haven't. I'm new to all this and just looking from the sidelines for now. Golem says you will be able to rent out some space/compute power on your laptop/desktop. I thought that was massive in scale, and was wondering if it was even possible. You are saying no?

i agree that almost everyone can do mining with their rigs but the home miners are not profitable, as being surpassed by large companies and ASICs. This type of "mining" would be available to the average joe, sort of like Minergate. Easy to click shit and nothing to set up, no need to be in mining pools etc. Basically acting like a TOR relay + other resources you decide to lend. The simplicity of it might attract people, why not gain some SUB while fapping to porn or playing some videogames.

What Golem tries to achieve has been active for many years under the Boinc projects like renderfarm/burp. It is very possible.
