Welcome, here you can ask questions regarding mining, trading and everything to do with bizcoin.

It is made with X13 algo to be ASIC resistant. It's a PoW/PoS hybrid for the next 20 days and will transistion to 7%/annum PoS with no limit to how long they accumulate until we hit 100 million units total. We added Kimoto Gravity Well (KGW) to make this coin pool resistant so only individuals can mine fo rthe next 20 days.

Download the bizcoin Wallet-QT

https://mega.co.nz/#!48wSxLCB!FgAmJ-i6ORrs2IgcIMQ_ZMHCSBXJs__uX4G0gC2zfgk

Add this as a .bat in the working directory

minerd -a x13 -o http://127.0.0.1:3333 -u x -p q

In C:\users\yourusername\appdata\roaming\bizcoin

make a new text file with:

rpcuser=x
rpcpassword=q
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=3333
port=3334

Then save as: whateveryoulike.conf

There is no such thing as ASIC resistant. That just, perversely, makes it more expensive to design the first ASIC, after which they will always be cheaper on the margin than CPUs.

Instead, you should make it so that it is optimized to be mined by a currently available GPU, so that its ASIC effectively already exists. Then small users can begin maximally efficient mining immediately.

Can someone help a noob out in getting this set up?

I've done everything in OP's post, ran start.bat in the cpu miner folder, and I'm getting a bunch of "thread X: XXXXX haches, 14.19 khash/s" messages. Seems like it's working, when will I see some bizcoins and where will they show up? I'm expecting to see them on the overview tab of the BizWallet, but I'm not sure.

Do I just need to wait longer? It's only been about five minutes. I also never had to enter my address anywhere, which I assumed I would have to do.

Thanks in advance.

Let's get tweeting to bittrex.

Sign up for twitter and tweet @bittrexexchange, ask them to add bizcoin. They are limited to the number of coins they add per week and one of the contributing factors on whether a coin is added relies heavily on tweets.

We are also in communication with a couple projects some are crowd funding and others are services that plan on accepting bizcoin. I'll keep you posted /biz/.

Check their coinlab.

On the other hand it's the only coin launched on 4chan unlike Doge or PND which was launched on Bitcointalk. This gives everyone here an early adopter advantage; since there was no premine, (bce1.cryptofactory(DOT)in/biz/), and we launched here before we roll our services out.

Have you tried both miners? Some people find one works and some find the other is better.

>> No.397620

>>397612

Correct. And the miner .exe doesn't crash or anything; just gives an MSDOS-esque "404 go fuck yourself"

What SHOULD be pulled up in a browser when the IP is plugged in? Does the port # need to be removed?

Side note: I ping'd the IP address (the 127.0.0.1) from cmd prompt and it sends and receives all packets - thus there's some sort of 2-way communication going on. However, nothing via a browser.

I think if I wasn't known amongst my family and friends as "the computer savvy guy" I wouldn't be getting so infuriated by this.

Try:
right-click on bizcoin folder on desktop and select open "command center here"
type:
bizcoin-qt.exe -server

It should open in server mode, but the .conf should be doing this anyway. It's possible port 3333 is already in use.

browser should ask you for a password with a message like "json-rpc" or something

either something is blocking the connection, which doesnt make sense. for local connections, or the wallet doesnt initiate the server for some reason.

maybe the port is already used by something else, try changing 3333 to some other random number (in both conf and miners bat)

I've tried CPU mining maybe...4 or 5 coins total. Every other one starts hashing just fine. /biz/coin for some ironic reason refuses to. But then it closes.

stake*

>> No.402909

>>402535
No. Sending the coins actually puts them on cooldown during which they are unable to generate anything.

In order to generate stake rewards, you need to
1) keep your wallet open
2) have coins that have been in your wallet for a certain amount of time, not sure how long exactly for this coin

Then, each of the transactions you received which follows the criteria above, periodically has a chance to give you a stake reward, proportionate to the amount of coins you received with that transaction.
ie. it doesn't matter if your wallet contains 1000 1 coin transactions or a single 1000 coin transaction, in the long run, the reward is the same.

Btw I probably suck at expaining this stuff, I'm pretty sure there's a PoS guide somewhere.

I stopped mining earlier once I'd reached 1M coins.

Just reopened wallet to continue mining, only for it to lose 300000 coins whilst re-syncing!

Nothing untoward in the transactions and just to add insult to injury I can no longer mine (internal server error).

WTF

It appears bizcoin transitioned to full PoS. New coins will be minted with stake only.

I am not sure why so many blocks were orphaned, any ideas?

Still 96 packages of 250 bizcoin available for free. To claim one all you need to do is tweet bittrex and ask them to add bizcoin.

The prophecy of the ancient fractals will be fulfilled, sell out as soon as you go to sleep as long as you turn a profit. Unless pisscoin actually manages to fulfill its purpose and becomes as valuable as a metric ton of urea, in which case people buying at the peak of this pump will seem like early adopters.

You're right. This is the first coin I have helped launch and it hasn't gone perfect but at least it isn't kill yet.

I don't have a great computer for mining so short PoW, I launched here on 4chan because I didn't want the coin rapers at bitcoin talk to muscle me out of my own coin. I launched fairly with virtually no pre-mine what so ever here so we could all learn with this coin together and I was also hoping for some community support which I received.
Once we reach an exchange I can start working on the coin sinks. Simple little services in exchange for bizcoin.

I just added the coin to poloniex for voting. It should be up soon.

We need votes here:

The issue I have is when you made the coin you typed in the blocktime and at what block it changed to PoS. Why do you keep refusing to talk about the numbers you picked?

>> No.405330

>>405234
The numbers I picked were arbitrary and they are irrelevant but this is what I was aiming for howvever:

21 day PoW
500 coin block reward
7% annum interest PoS
Confirmations - 7 blocks
Maturity - 21 blocks
Total supply: 100 million
Minimum stake period: 24 hours
Max: unlimited

I am not refusing discussion and I am sorry if you felt I was purposefully withholding information from you, this is not the case.

I'll be back with the block we picked to transition for your records.

>> No.405337

>>405330
So if I send all of my coins to another wallet,and wait 24 hours they will stake?

>> No.405357

how do i get a valid address?

>> No.405366

>>405337

No. Make sure your wallet is unlocked, you can set an amount of coins that you don't want to stake by going "settings>options>main>reserve" and set an amount always available for spending. Otherwise after enough time has elapsed the coins will stake themselves.

Anytime your wallet is offline you have to start over. The time it takes for coins to stake depends on when they were mined in relation to one another since the stake time is supposed to be 24 hours.

>> No.405521

Followed the instructions but when I open the miner it flashes some text and closes within a second, so I'm guessing I've placed a file incorrectly or something.

I put the .conf in the bizcoin approaming file and the .bat in the cpuminer folder. I try and avoid asking to be spoonfed so apologies.

Posting my address if anyone's still handing out, newer to crypto so even just enough to send an exchange and see it in action is appreciated.
