Redpill me on LINK, I see a lot of people shilling it but I also see a lot of people talking crap. I have $1000 to play around with and thinking whether or not I should put it in link or not

Allow me to enlighten you, anon.

- beastly use case
>(mainstream fucking smart contracts)

- rock-solid fundamentals
>(peer-reviewed white paper featuring Ari Juels)

- practically finished working product
>(v1.0 of network done)

- major partnerships and endorsements
>(SWIFT, Cornell, Gartner, WEF, ...)

- massive marketing event coming up at SIBOS
>(invited by SWIFT as the ONLY external crypto dev to do a demo)

- sky-high interest from some of the biggest players in global economics
>SWIFT, WEF, Capgemini, Gartner all underlining the importance of smart contracts and mentioning Chainlink/Smartcontract.com by name

Sources for this last bullet point:

WEF: http://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_GAC15_Technological_Tipping_Points_report_2015.pdf#page=24
World economic forum talking about smart contracts and crypto as a technological tipping point, specifically mentioning Chainlink/Smartcontract.com by name

Capgemini: https://www.capgemini.com/consulting/wp-content/uploads/sites/30/2017/07/smart-contracts.pdf
Massive consultancy and IT firm Capgemini devoting an entire report to the importance of smart contracts, specifically mentioning Chainlink/Smartcontract.com and Sergey Nazarov by name as the only providers of a smart contract solution that can use external data

SWIFT: https://www.swift.com/node/39911
SWIFT itself saying how "Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and Smart Contracts (SC) promise to transform automation in the financial industry, and are generating huge interest amongst financial institutions and technology providers."

Gartner: (see pic)

tl;dr not only are the very biggest global economic players tripping over themselves to adopt blockchain tech, they are specifically lusting after smart contracts, AND mentioning Chainlink/Smartcontract.com specifically.

>stupid insane volume with consistent price for having no news in this retarded crypto world where people drop coins after a day

This.
LINK is a pressure cooker right now, just itching for an excuse to blow up.

Don't buy this shit. The conference is all incalculated into price. That pothead CEO of Chainlink already said there would be no news. It's just a powerpoint 2007 presentation. Sell or hold heavy bags for a long time.

It's a scam. The whitepaper is nothing but hot air (seriously, read it, it's a whole lot of fucking nothing), the coin itself does nothing, and the only reason they have any attention or volume is because of name recognition. But here's the kicker: even THAT is a scam because I looked into it and they have absolutely no affiliation with Nintendo whatsoever. Neither Nintendo of America nor their headquarters in Japan have ever heard of ChainLink or Sergey Nazarov.

Frankly it's a miracle that the price is as high as it is right now, and if you have any tokens (and brains) you should be selling them before the supercomputer revolution comes and obsolesces all of it. If you've got cash but no tokens then consider yourself lucky that you've dodged this bullet.

You can't price in the effects of marketing that hasn't even happened yet.

That's the whole point of marketing: to result in the influx of new people and money after the marketing event.

Haven't seen this pasta yet, good one.

>Nintendo
lol

"A few data feeds exist for Ethereum today that source data from trustworthy websites, but provide no assurance of correctly relaying such data beyond the reputation of their operators (typically individuals or small entities). HTTPS connection to a trustworthy website would seem to offer a solution, but smart contracts lack network access, and HTTPS does not digitally sign data for out-of-band verification. The lack of a substantive ecosystem of trustworthy data feeds is frequently cited as critical obstacle to the evolution of Ethereum and decentralized smart contracts in general"

There is no pump from which to dump. The price has been in the same range since it hit Binance. None of the articles have specifically named Chainlink as the SWIFT gpi project. Reddit barely knows about it. Actual shitcoins have a much higher market cap. The only way is up
