Find a style that fits you and then research its core skills.
E.g. for daytrading look into TA and sentiment (buy rumor, sell news) stuff
For ICO picking find the best sources, hang out on slacks, what do I know
For longer-term "investment" you look into fundamentals like technology or business model etc
