I don't mean completely irrelevant, I just mean like...if people just stopped caring. Like if over the course of 10 years businesses just switched over gradually to using Bitcoin as currency, which is legal, instead of the US dollar.

Like the US dollar would still exist but people just wouldn't really care. The US dollar debt would become the US government's problem to "figure out" while normally people just bought and sold everything with Bitcoins.
