help /biz/

My college requires 3.2 GPA just to get any sort of business major, and unfortunately, am too retarded to do that. So instead, i was thinking of majoring in IT or Risk Analysis since the requirements are much lower.

How do i explain to parents im a fuck up?
How is finding a job in IT going to be different from business job?

I just want to have comfy 50 k yr job, and maybe work up to 200 k one day. I thought business was supposed to be easy T_T and was dead set on majoring in anything business related my whole life. But looks like im gonna be a techie

What do you mean by a business job? Banks are laying off people record numbers. Most business jobs are stupid sales jobs. That's what companies needs, salesmen

It will have better future no doubt. But if you dont like tech it's gonna be hard for you.

I originally wanted to be a programmer or engineer. And it was really my dad who talked me out of it, cause, hes a business lawyer, and kind of really fucking rich, so he gave me the talk about business dudes being on the top of the world.

But honestly, i think i rather try to get ready on the stock or crypto markets at this point. But hey, i only got accepted here, the business school, because i said i was planning on majoring in finance. lol.

Easy
>japanese 101
>Class is easy af because already know over 1000 japanese words and passed jlpt n4
>GPA still goes down 5% just from missing an audio assignment that was due while i was studying for math exam
Those language courses are literally one big sadistic joke. Im only taking because its required for business majors. Im thinking of just dropping it before the dropoff cutoff date and starting right into Japanese 3 or Chinese 3 cause i qualify for those.

Another class i struggle with is macroeconomics, partly because i forgot the homework.... again, but also because those test questions are tricky as shit and require knowing so many facts.

You fuck. I got a 87 in macro as a distance-learning course at a fucking community college, 16 credit semester with medical terminology, calc 2, and csc 201.

Put in the work. I study while working 20 hours a week as a fucking cook.

I didnt even intend to put off the homework. I just keep overreading things. I dont really care though, sice i can drop it any time i want it only functioned as a gpa booster.
>>3737170
I just cant even. I feel like i get all the concepts down pat. But those fucking quizes..... literally one question is the difference between a 100% and a C.

Why cant all my classes just have some giant 50 question test at the end of the semester and the homework just be study guide? But thats the beside the point of my thread OP....

Just double-down your efforts in business, having your dad already in the field will be very helpful in the long-term

Also Kuroneko thread

But i do try... I just keep missing all these updates in homeworks and classes. My dad is more lawyer than business, but all my older siblings are business majors with jobs
>>3737566
well of course the actual business classes are easy af i imagine. Its just maintaining a 3.2 in these pre reqs.

I think i might get in touch with my advisor about the requirements for IT. I was thinking of double majoring anyway cause i like tech.
