Really wondering if Bitcoin chase new highs before the fork (aka free money) or crash like July. Ethereum already has a good dip, so you see it crash before update or back on trends ?
Really hesitating since I prefer Bitcoin crash and Eth working but that was not the case in July so ...
Any idea ?

> dip
don't call it a dip before sub 200

>> No.3702323

ETH has a good chance of bounding back, unless, of course the market is tired of it.

It seems like the market is exhausted about hearing about pending updates for this coin. It's remaining stagnant and even dipping a little bit. Metropolis Fork might already be priced in.

Yup not really a dip but a nice descending curve I would say. Yup feel that Metropolis has not impact that much. There is a chance that price don't go up until update but if the Ethereum product is good then price will go x1000. (ok, ok a bit shilling but you get the idea)

it's a truth that ethereum core devs keep postponing all the promised upgrades on their roadmap

according to their road map, both "Metropolis" and "PoS" should have been completed on August

but once it does go live, it is dumb to think that it won't go x2 at least

> once it goes live
you will be lucky if the price doesn't crash immediately
because people have been waiting for this moment to sell at the top

they both will go up, probably. i see $10,000 bitcoin and $1000 ether.

to be clear, by bitcoin i mean the collection of btc, bch, btc1 together. we are in the middle of a fork and there's politics involved over what bitcoin is. so like a value of $10,000 if you just hold your shit in your wallet.

comparing btc to bitcoin is like comparing dollars to visa, just dosen't make sense

Yup I know, it's more about market prices.
There is obvously a pattern of sell/buy to follow during this month (to get good value) and it will be tricky with all the news at the same time.

Yea makes sense with POS to sell it

you send him the amount of ETH worth the amount of bitcoin you want to send and he trades it back to BTC, automated with smart contracts

it was just an example of a service vs a currency

obviously the most obvious would be to use the BTC directly to send/pay whatever you have to pay
the point of crypto is to be descentralized, man
peer. to. peer.
