here's a few things i guess:

>small candlesticks pattern dont really matter that much, pay attention to buy/sell pressure, and larger patterns like wedges, triangles, head and shoulder, cup and handle and bull flags.

this should get you started.

most traders don't get fucked because its hard, but because it FEELS like a gamble and the dopamine overpowers your discipline.
