I disagree. It's no longer just an ETH clone, except for the contracts. The economic system is like BTC. I'm holding a decent chunk of it long term because I expect it to take off once Metropolis-Byzantium or Casper drops.

I...don't think you understand how EC works, at all. Those upgrades are on Ethereum (mainstream), not on Classic. Classic has ~no devs. EC can barely launch a fucking wallet, seriously. By this point, Ethereum and EC have diverged so far that they are almost entirely different blockchains.
