Many people have been getting upset at IOTA devs for speaking about refugee cities.
How I see it, if you're a skilled developer, your people-skills are usually below par.
If you're a passionate founder, you'll sometimes exhibit a 'Steve Jobs-like' temper to people who don't see your vision.
If you're a German male, you'll usually show the stereotype of being cold and direct.
If you become well-known too quickly, you'll usually make a few mistakes with your new responsibility by saying the wrong thing.
The guys at IOTA are all of the above. None of those things are a red flag, because the only thing that matters is that they DELIVER.
IOTA is supposed to be invisible to the end-user. That means they gain very little from being 'down with the cool kids'. Their clients are large companies that can benefit from their technology. Which means IOTA's future depends on whether they can improve their client's bottom line, their products, and their customer experience.
I worked in a call-center for an IT company a while back, and it's amazing how entitled we have become. We believe we can speak to corporations any way we see fit, and that they will deliver a perfectly unemotional politically-correct response with 100% accuracy.
It's obvious that the founders are not trained in Marketing and Customer Service, but what's important is that they're good at the job they're supposed to do. Hopefully in time, they will have their own Marketing reps.
Many of us know that IOTA is a long-term hold. If you've ever started a business, you'll understand there is a learning curve and mistakes will be made.
All that matters is that they keep plugging on, and that they're better than everything else that's out there for IOT
