92% of /biz/ threads about cryptocurrency.

Does anyone actually just work for themselves? Own an actual business... or just makes money selling products or services?

Am I just in the wrong place?

I make video game art full-time for half a dozen different programmers who want to make indie games with the leftovers of their paychecks.

But I invest 60% of my freelance earnings into crypto.

Hey hey hey, claim down silly sausages.

How you invest the money is on you - and power to you if crypto is your cup of tea.

What I'm talking about is how you make/made your money in the first place?

I have my own business, 3 full time employees and enjoy fact I can be selective on taking on new clients.

Where did you start /biz/?

Find out what trade is in high demand in your state / country. See how long it takes to get the qualification in that trade. Maintain a quality standard that surpasses your competition in that trade.

If that's not suitable in the area / country -- as an apprentice I use to go to garage sales and opportunity stores and buy items and sell on other platforms (ebay, facebook groups) - I had a algorithm of $1:$3 (if I paid $10 I want $30 or it wasn't worth me my time buying the item to resell).

Thank you OP! I screenshot this. I am going to do some homework on it. Btw, I am 30, applied to 400+ jobs, some college, and I am just trying to pay off my family's mortgage. A little advice goes a long way but I'll be thinking about what you said and applying it
