So I accidentally entered my account and password on a fake Poloniex site. Luckily I realized this immediately and went and changed my password.

I have 2FA enabled on my account - am I safe with this account still or should I make a new one? FUCK bros, the first result of Poloniex in Google was a phishing site.

as long as your password isn't the same as your email and your email also has 2-step enabled on it

>>3132073
it was probably a sponsored ad

I just searched and the first result is the real poloniex. What did you search for?

Did you enter a 2FA code on that fake site? If not, 2FA most likely saved your ass.
Make sure your e-mail account has a strong password, etc.

I just googled poloniex and checked. No phishing site one first 3 pages (that's how far I checked).
Consider resetting your computer and watch your porn on another device in future

shit happened to my dad. he searched eBay on his chromebook and got to one of those sites where a number pops up and you have to call them. he actually did the daft bastard.

>> No.3132234

I've seen a lot of sub 25 year old kids doing this when surfing. instead of typing "poloniex," waiting for the search page to load, then clicking randomly on the shit that pops up, why not just enter poloniex.com?

>>3132234
They probably don't even know you can do that since they're so used to Google finding shit for them.
