I wish to know where and how you did it. Reliable sites with decent exchange rates, accepted payment options, etc. Yes, I've googled, but much of the information is woefully outdated including links to defunct sites. I'll take a look at coinbase.

Really easy if you don't wanna go through an exchange. If you plan to hold your coins, leave them there. If you wanna do something with them I recommend sending the Bitcoin's out to a new wallet on Blockchain.info. In my opinion, BC has the best online wallet service.
