Oh yeah, I forgot.

As with all trading, annoyingly but understandably, the more money you have - the easier it is to make more. If you have loads emoney, you can risk 0.5% and still make off with a resonable gain (1%), but if you're just starting out and have little money, you might need to risk a lot more for not that much return (in real money, percent-wise, obviously you'll get more).

The most important thing to learn with forex, or any daytrading, is to limit risk. That's what'll keep you going. Try for 1:2 risk/reward, or better, and you can lose a few but still stay in the game.

The most you can risk is something like 2% of your account per pip (1:200), or 1% per pip (1:100), 0.5% (1:50 lol US leverage), but you should never risk that much unless you're absolutely sure it's going to work out, so never in the beginning. You could potentially grow an account extremely quick, if you knew what you were doing, though. I mean - extremely - quick. When you feel safe with price having moved past break even, that it won't go back any time soon, move your stop there. That'll help you feel good about it, especially if you're leaving it overnight.

inb4 90% lose all their money statistic. You can't really wipe out permanently if you learn to trade on a demo first, start real small (so you can afford to lose it and try again) and CONTROL YOUR RISK.

You wouldn't hear about it otherwise. There's no need to tell people when price was that low since getting in low was the whole idea. Tell people when you get your positions in and let them start telling people.

However, even if you got in at 1.65, you would've rode up to 10. If you play your cards right, 20 is a viable target.

Here's a stock pick for you folks OSBC, severely severely undervalued right now on it's price to earnings ratio, also I know quite a few of the banks involved in this and their business is starting to pick up as the larger banks keep getting worse and worse press, also midwest tends to ride out financial disasters better than the big cities so if the stock market corrects more in the next few months I think people will see this as a safe place to keep their money.

>undervalued on price to earnings

You don't value a community bank on price to earnings; you value it on price to tangible book value. This bank is trading almost exactly 1:1 to tangible book value. Healthy banks trade at a premium. This isn't a good sign.

Have you read through the income statement to see why it trades at 0.92 PE? Last year, they released $8.5 million from the loan loss reserve; which flowed to income. Over the past few years, this bank has lost millions of dollars. I can imagine it has bad asset quality: loan loss coverage, non performing loans, etc.

Midwest community banks are in bad shape. Most are liability sensitive. Their assets are fixed residential mortgages, which will lose value in a rising rate environment. Meanwhile they will have to pay more for deposits. They will get hit on both sides of the balances sheet. Meanwhile, this bank is too small to hedge its interest rate risk. Forget about Dodd-Frank compliance.

Your best bet in making money on this stock is to buy it and hope it gets bought out at say 125% of tangible book value. Maybe an activist like Joseph Stillwell will take care of it for you

Well, I am currently uncertain as far as gold is concerned. The reasonable thing would be to go long JDST, Gold has been trading between 1310/1270 up and down for some time. The issue is if gold has another breakout to near 1400 level (which is possible but not highly probably, you'll get creamed in a short).
Currently I am in VXX at sub $40 and in HVU.to @ 5.92 I am looking to exit at $42 & 6.5ish maybe as low as 6.3 within this/early next week.

Commodity prices are nowhere near as pumped as 07, especially non PMs. Oil is pretty neutral at about $100. Like a "6/10" if you asked me if oil is overbought. Nat Gas is high because of low supplies from last winter, and one of the two trades I was burned on in the past 52 weeks was shorting natgas and misreading the derivative, I got out with a 10% loss , but I made it back via gold and vix derivatives...

But Im just rambling.. I really don't think the market will justify breaking S&P500 all time high, and if it does, which I hope, the market will start freaking out because there is nothing to justify it.

I really honestly believe it was investor delusion. there was a core group somewhere who honestly thought PLUG was going to become a main battery supplier for TSLA. This suspicion really got cemented when I saw their CEO announce a "coming partnership with a major auto supplier wink wink hush hush", and of course that later turned out to be nothing, but not before sending the stock up a couple points.

Yeah but the people behind the link between Tesla and PLUG were Cramer and the like. I also thought there was a big Walmart deal in the works too

yeah they sold a couple thousand batteries in a one time deal w/ wal-mart but people saw the name WMT and started slapping the buy button, not thinking that WMT got to be an industry leader by using the cheapest/shittiest parts and labor available.

Dont tell anybody this, but there's actually a jew behind the curtain with a giant lever.

Whenever you place in an order, a giant exclamation mark appears over his head as he proceeds to take your money and make it look like the 'stock' you just put your money in takes a dip, when in reality nothing actually happens.

My dad told me this

Every ONVO trade wipe was public with was a loser. Implying he is either a fucking idiot or a boiler room agent with an agenda.

You didn't even mention HYSR, on which wipes wife told him to sell, so he did. And missed another 500%. he bagheld for 6 months through a loss to instant sell for a double as soon as it popped.

He is just an idiot people use to fill the air with noise and eventually if you fill it enough people will pay attention and degen gamblers will eventually throw cash around, which is the end goal.

Thus why he never stops talking about AMD, because agendas. Why would you listen to him anyways? Can't you think for yourself.

Also his wife and father in law are paki terror cell here in america, he got blinded by the cash. Everything he says is a lie.

Here's the math

$300,000 / $12,40 = 24193 shares
Last dividend was declared at $0.51/share
You would get $12,338.43 on the dividend pay date
Capital gains aren't automatically deducted because you're taxed differently if you participate in DRIP. Also each Quarter is not a guaranteed payout. If the company does something different they can give less, more, or nothing.

Look at the "REM - Historical Annual Dividend Data & Growth"

The Annual for 2013 was about ~2 dollars.

Thats 15% of the 2013 average price of the share, about 13 dollars.

Which means you annually get 15%, not quarterly.

Correct me if im wrong here.

is anyone going to do anything on this tomorrow? From what I've read one of Quantum's customers merged with a competitor causing the drop, but now there's rumors of them striking a big deal with Ryder.

Either way it seems way oversold. I may set a buy in tomorrow around 2.00 if it touches that low.

curious to hear what some others think though.
