Okay /biz/ so I'm a retard and I never paid attention in finance class and I have a quiz I need to submit soon. Can you help me solve this question?

A 5.65 percent coupon bond with 19 years left to maturity is offered for sale at $1,035.25. What yield to maturity is the bond offering? (Assume interest payments are semiannual.) (Round your answer to 2 decimal places.)

Id find the values that its worth for every year of the 19 years after interest is applied using excel. Then do a ratio of the total value at the end minus the initial 1,035.25 to the years. So the answer would be yield/years. Probably wrong though because I dont know the nomenclature. Might want to try google for that.

Assuming semi-annual coupon payments and a face value of 1000 the answer is 5.35%. You're welcome.
