If you think BTC is going to be worth more fiat in the future then focusing on making BTC instead of fiat increases your gains.
eg. if I buy shitcoin @ $1 and sell @ $2 I have doubled my fiat, great.
If I buy shitcoin @ 1k sato and sell for 2k sato I have doubled my BTC and as BTC will continue to gain value against fiat I more than double my money.
