Ripple is a good long term investment because it is targeting money transfer systems globally. It is trying to replace the SWIFT and nostro systems banks and services such as western union currently use. So far, it has been successful in getting 75 major banks on its networks who are all testing this right now. Banks are notoriously conservative when it comes to new technologies that is why growth is slow. SBI holdings plans to go live with ripple in January of 2018. Royal bank of Canada also has plans to do live transactions by this year end.

Once ripple goes live, then the moon will happen. Right now is price is dependent upon basement dwelling NEETs day trading. The entire point of Xrp is to remain stable, that's why no big movements. Just hold the damn coin until early next year.
