$9 waiting room. Share your comfiness. 20k BNT staked, rewards are higher than my 9-5 job salary

I'm broke and new to crypto but I put $100 in

1.5k stacklet reporting

I sold some ~500 bnt at 8.50.
If this shit doesn't test below 7 dollars again I will regret my life.

unironically, get a job first. i did what you did and ended up suckering all my cash in, and lost around 2/3rds of it. Wait until you have money you can afford to lose.

8k BNT bought at $4.90 average
You know what's super comfy? As the price of BNT pumps, even if the APY on staking it drops, by the time we're at $50 or so even 10% apy would still be extremely comfy passive income.

cant believe it doesn't let you specify which wallet to use when you connect with a ledger, it keeps connecting the wrong one of like 10 options and I cant do anything

I just tried to stake 1000 Link and the gas fee was over $1700. What the fuck, I wanted to stake 5k but it would take months to recover the fee

What exactly is staking and how do I make it work for me?

>> No.30452107

So I've been going over this again and again in my head... The reason why bancor staking is legitimate is because the fees far outcover even the temporary reward bonuses. And then once they attract enough liquidity, reward bonuses are no longer needed? I guess one thing I'm a little worried about is, what happens to BNT when the reward bonuses expire?

And after 100 days you're absolutely guaranteed to get your deposit back?

I'm just trying to find all reasons to differentiate this from you average run of the mill BitConnect.

Sometimes there are errors with the gas fee. It is expensive but not that expensive.
On the subject of staking LINK, anyone got tips on how to be alerted when it opens up?

>> No.30452276

I still dont understand how this isnt a ponzi. It only protects you from IL because it takes money from new investors.

>> No.30452292

Too late, have been watching for hours and space finally opened up for 1000 so I jumped on it but only have like $300 worth of ether on that wallet. Now there is only space for 46 Link.
>>30452227
What fee should I expect? Also should I just wait until there is 5000 open space and do it all in one go to save gas fees?

All staking farms like this are ponzis in that they can't function without fresh blood. Some more egregious, some less.

>> No.30452518

it protects you from IL using trading fees

>> No.30452531

So you're saying all liquidity pools are ponzis.

>> No.30452625

pack it up guys LPs like uni and balancer are ponzi. We are all going to lose our money oh no no no

>> No.30452713

>>30452531
All liquidity pools that provide LM rewards initially yes are ponzis but thats the initial bootstrap stage (offer incentives for people to pool and provide a liquidity base in the first place)

Conundrum is always how to incentivize people to use the platform and generate fees, so LM rewards are good at the start.

Thanks, very helpful
>>30452292
Probably $150-200. And yeah would be best but wouldn't risk more than 25% of your stack.

>> No.30452913

>>30452107
The point is to attract liquidity which attracts trading, which brings fees. And honestly I dont even think LMs on highest volume large caps will be removed entirely a year from now, there might be a vote to just extend them. I think staking incentive is more important than small inflation

>> No.30452938

>>30452770
Thanks. 5k is about 25% of my stack, rest is staying on cold wallet
