They couldn't be assed to have any of the original iconic characters for the promotional stuff because Disney was obsessed with pushing their new garbage franchise. When you pay several hundred dollars to go to Star Wars Land (presented by Disney) do you want to get your picture taken with "token black helmetless stormtrooper"? "Action chick dressed in rags"? "Dyed-hair dyke in boba fett cosplay"?
No, you want to see fucking Darth Vader and Chewbacca.

That, and they had all the classical Disneyland cashgrab crap running the place. They had to start using plastic cutlery because people were stealing fistfuls of their fancy metal sporks to sell on eBay for ~$100 a piece to recoup the cost of the ticket. And was any of the expensive souvenir crap even vaguely themed on the big flagship characters? No, it was weirdass LARPshit.

Went there during the "Pandemic" in January. Was absolutely terrible, felt like disrespected hearded cattle. The highlight of my vacation was watching some guy that probably makes decent money tell this fucking fat retarded employee to fuck off.

I use to feel bad for the employees when they would get roasted by Karen's and their husband, but after that vacation. They get what they deserve. I loved seeing people absolutely upset that half the attractions where closed, or their fast pass reservations weren't in the system. Fuck Disney, go to universal studios instead. Their covid policies were way more lax.
