BLOCKCHAIN is useful

"CRYPTO" apart from real-world blockchain applications is useless

thus for example BTC is useless because it doesn't have smart contracts and its use case as a decentralized payment system is vastly surpassed by XMR

if you want to "make it," you have to look for projects that add value in the real world

You're a goddam fool if you think Warren Buffett doesn't have some stake in bitcoin and/or ethereum.

I've noticed that it is useful, but it's been taken hostage by a lot of scam queens. Even people who want your full id to use it. That's what's useless. The crypto idea is useful, but it's hostage to the same old gobble demons.

This. Bitcoin is too inefficient to ever truly take off as a viable global currency, due to transaction speed limitations etc. I anticipate that it will continue to grow in popularity/value until it reaches a point where transactions start lagging and then it will crash hard. The powers that be aren't gonna just roll over and give up their currency control anyways. They would ban it or co-opt it or cover it with fees or whatever it takes to kill it. That applies to any crypto that threatens USD.

Honestly everything is still somewhat speculative because blockchain as such is still maturing. But my personal positions are in LINK GRT LTO and ROSE. The first two address the question, how to make blockchain useful in the real world? The second two are examples of the value added by blockchain in real world applications.

i can buy an unnamed stable coin for near dollar to token, and send it to any wallet in the world for .002 of the token fee. that wallet can then use it as they see fit.

some people might not understand why this is important but they never had family in third world countries
