But my thoughts exactly. No hbar enthusiast has been able to explain why hbar is better from a technical perspective. They’ve only linked me to a video, talked about parents, or it’s partners who are “omg running a node”.

Yes the protocol may be superior to btc since no work is thrown away. But why is it better than any of the other solutions out there?

I dont know fren it seems like you just list HBAR's features then follow up saying "so what, how is that better?". You did the same thing in yesterdays thread.

The advantages of these features are spoken about at length by leemon and the others in what they have put out. Me defending the coin would be just repackaging that info. Its a new/different technology that has corporate buy in. If it doesnt have any glaring defeciencies why would money NOT go to it and to one of 15 blockchain based coins instead.

Because it solves the issue of scalability issue inherent in all blockchain systems. Its not blockchain its hashgraph. Its a whole different concept and its littlerally mathmatically provably the fastest and cheapest way to keep a verifiable decentalized ledger assuming no more then 1/3 of nodes are malicious. Depends on what you mean by centralized.
Yeah decisions are made by a corporate council of node operators.
When you proxy stake, you basically are choosing a node that you think is trustworthy and won’t cheat on your behalf. As long as more than 1/3 don’t collude, then even a governing council member still can’t screw your transactions.
If you think BTC and ETH are de facto decentralized, ngmi.

Ok so theres no verification beyond normal hashes so idk what you mean by lowering verification for scaling. When you are looking at how a network handles malicious behavior you are already meant to be assuming that the bad actor has bypassed whatever hard security barriors are in place. Hbar assumes not only this but that the connections between networks are also comprimised at all times and can be delayed indefinitely. It assumes all this and provides a mathematically provable solution that maintains complete network ledger verifibility.
