I'm going to do /biz/ a favor here, although I doubt most posters here can comprehend the big brain plays that come from this.

Profit or don't.

Profit how? SpaceX isn't public and as long as Musk is alive it will never be.

What does Starship do, at a fundamental level? And who benefits from that? This is simple, just work through it.

Mars is only efficiently accessible for launches ~2 of every 26 months. What will Starship do the other 92% of the time?

Maybe in the long term, but I'm talking soon – late 2021, maybe 2022. Starship will spend the vast majority of it's time chucking a hundred tons of satellite per launch into orbit for less than the cost of a single smallsat launcher today. Initially this will mostly be Starlink satellites, but the rideshare opportunities are obvious.

That's wrong and you're a bit slow. Who is paying for rocket launches today? Because they'll be paying significantly less in a few years. Companies that manufacture satellites, operate satellites, provide ground systems and control, etc etc. Many of those companies are publicly traded.

Nothing, the design is vaporware and cannot deliver on musk's promises. It exists purely to scam the government out of taxpayer subsidies.
