For real, a while ago I was looking at real estate in Russia and the prices were pretty mind-blowing. I could buy a decent apartment in an ok area outright for around 30-50k aud. That's actually almost affordable for me even as a NEET on JobSeeker A similar apartment in an Australian city would cost something like 500-600k. There are too many problems to be overcome though, eg.

-I have to learn Russian.
-I have to find a job in fucking Russia.
-There are probably foreign ownership laws that would prevent me from buying the apartment in the first place, though I may be able to bribe someone.
-Getting permanent residency could be quite difficult, again I'd probably have to bribe the the right people and I have no idea how to go about that and would probably fuck it up somehow and end up getting deported.

A lot of Australians move to Bali to dodge the high cost of living here so that's another option I'm considering once I receive my inheritance.
