Why do people freak out over Q.E. but fractional reserve lending has been dominant for as long as I've been alive? It appears to me that Q.E. is just a release valve to get the digital currency moving. People who overreact that QE is going to cause hyperinflation are missing Forrest for the trees. Am I missing something here?

You’re missing that every paper currency in history has been destroyed.
There isn’t any reason to believe things are different now.
The last ones standing are the USD and GBP, but they are worth a fraction of what they once were, most likely they are going to zero soon.
