When someone makes more than 150k a year, it's most likely because the employer / company is desperate enough to bargain with the employee.
The job usually comes at them, not the opposite.
It's quite comon in prestigious schools and universities to see employers going there and looking for students who are about to graduate so they can ensure to pay a smart guy for a lower salary than it's really worth ( A student will never refuse a 100k+ salary even if its underpaid).
