How so? If I watch the chart for green candles and red candles what could go wrong

>> No.30274673

i did it and portfolio went up 50%. Good if you have time to be a hawk and have the charts open at all times.
Then I got busy with job and didn't realise my coins dumped so I sold them while drunk thinking I made profits. Went down 90%.
I made it all back in a week, now I hold ADA and XRP and swing trade MATIC, VET and ONE

It works better on stock trading imo.
with cryptos it works too, but you can make it by just holding until it 10x which is something that happens like every week. Just wait until it's your turn.
At the end of the day a swing trader with good fundamentals and who knows what they're doing will make more money than you without sticking to a coin, but it's so much effort while you can still earn by doing literally nothing except checking crypto news from time to time.

yeah. I have 20k each in ADA, XRP which I'll hold for the next 2 months.
I put 10k in VeT and one which i swing traded to 20k in the last week. I sold ONE today when it went up to .033, bought in at .028. Bought more VET with the money made and will sell it when ut goes green, buy ONE. Repeat ad infinitum

Yes.
No.
I did make a few ETH on HOGE when it launched. I had around 2B coins at one moment.
Those would be worth around $40k today with the recent pump.

>> No.30275447

I got in way too late to make it in this cycle. So I'm slowly working myself up to the point where I can effectively swing trade. Even trading on a weekly basis is not easy.

Only 5% of traders make money for a reason.

I've made a few good trades. But I've also made more shitty trades, each of which I've learned from.

>> No.30275622

most People here are salty hodlers who don't want others to make it. That's why they say swingies get the rope and all that shit. If i wanted to hold I'd trade stocks. I like gambling so I trade crypto. Keep in mind though, don't sell on a loss ever. There's so many coins which fluctuate throughout the day between pennies but it makes a difference when you have a lot of them. If you make 200-300 usd per trade and you do 3-4 such swing trades a day you can make 1-2k a day easily. Thats what pisses these boomer low risk low reward retards off. Never look at a coin after selling it unless it dips, and don't get greedy. Monitor the market for a few days and find coins that oscillate between two extremes. Put in like 10k when its at low and sell as soon as it reaches the peak. Sometimes it might pump even more than the peak but that's life.
I'll help you out. Matic, One, VET. If you dont have free time then ZIL. buy at low and sell in 1-2 days max. Don't try to become a whale, just pick 4 coins and switch between them.
Don't listen to these boomers and just invest like 20-30% of your money if you don't wanna take risks into above coins.

honestly most times i''ve swung i would've performed better just holding. though if you have high risk tolerance it can be a good way to fatten up your bags during accumulation phases

Yes.

I've learned how to sell at a loss. But if you have to sell at a loss, it means you fucked up badly in the first place.

>> No.30275823

>>30274415
It can be a nice way to fatten your stack. Sell off a little when you think its peaking and then scale out. Remember the average price you sold out at, then buy back in when it dumps.

>> No.30275837

>>30274476
this is why you never put more than 5% of your money into a trade anon, if you are good at it your returns will compound and if you aren't good at it you will lose money fairly slowly

Yeah, gotta run with a profit, even if it's 5 or 10%, sure it could go up more but number one priority is to secure a profit

switched to AAVE at 310, sold at 345 right before it shot to 500
bought bnb at 197 sold at 202 the day it reached 345.

I have both
https://beincrypto.com/
and
https://cointelegraph.com/
on auto-refresh every 3 minutes on a separate monitor. They seem fairly fast with news delivery. The announcement for IOTAs smart contracts came in at around 3pm (MEZ) and the price development since then speaks for itself.

The last few weeks have been pretty simple to swing trade. For example, BNB has a very reliable bottom of around £160 and a top of £180. Reaches the highs at the beginning of the week and slumps towards the end before recovering and dumping on Sunday.

It's been doing this for a while now. You can set your watch by it. But of course at some point that pattern is going to end and you'll be fucked either by a huge dump or a big pump.
