Around ~46500, the buying pressure finally overcame the selling pressure. Even the midnight dump was neutered by it. Screenshot this.

>> No.30264104

>>30263784

Are you aware that every time there's a trade, someone is buying the exact same amount that someone else is selling? All things being equal, buying pressure is inversely correlated with price. This is why the price starts rising after each selloff ends, and the lower the price, the faster the rise. Eventually there is enough buying pressure to restore the price between selloffs; that's what happened at ~46500. Look at the chart for the last 12 hours.

Each dump is clear as day on the 15m chart, as is the general trend in between each dump; I've marked them with arrows. After each dump, there is a steady recovery which would hit ~50k in about ~24 hours. At the bottom, the recovery rate is more than double (note the steep angle of the last/bottom arrow). The 15m just bounced back above 47k as I write this (but after I made the screenshot).

Tomorrow as the stock market continues to sell off, so too will BTC. This is because of the people who own BTC -- large financial instutitons -- are rapidly running out of money and about to default on their debts and have to liquidate assets to pay it.
Of course, default is very very very bad for the dollar and the economy. The only way to solve default is through exponential money printing, which is very very very bad for the economy and the dollar.
This is the deflation before hyperinflation.

The patterns only stay the same if the fundamentals always stay the same. Bitcoin's role doesn't change so it always stays the same, and that's why TA like this is so effective for bitcoin.
But right now we're about to black swan into something strange that invalidates TA. That's my point.

But what happens a few days/weeks/months after that when the dollar starts losing value, either because of hyperinflation or because of the debt economy that the dollar is propped up off of goes away?
Then we're going to see the strangest, largest bullrun for BTC and commodities since...

I'm not talking about "patterns", I'm describing what is broadly going on in the market and using the chart as a visual aid. At any given time, when the market is not chaotic, BTC is on a steady march along some trendline. In the chart I posted, you can clearly see increasingly positive trendlines after each dump. This is indicative of eager buyers who feel they are getting a good deal, not a race to the bottom of desperate sellers.

Look what's happened since I posted the first chart.

Don't know friend. All I know is it's starting. I think it's very risky to time the market like that, if you're prediction of the bottom is incorrect then you're stuck holding literal bags of worthless cash. No idea how large the selloff will be either, you'd have to calculate how much BTC is held by every financial institution that's at risk of default, and that's just not very easy. The selloff won't last for long though, it's not like a 2017 crash and we wait 4 years. The dollar's magnitude of volatility is increasing, so only a few months at most or a few days/weeks at the least.

Why is BTC and gold steady along a predictable trendline when stocks can be volatile?
Because the fundamentals of stocks change all the time while the fundamentals of gold and bitcoin almost never change.
The fundamentals are about to change friend.
TA is patterns. Indicators like macd or resistance lines or trendlines are useful for as long as the markets are believed to be efficient. In black swan events, that's not true.

the giant red candles aren't just spontaneous selloffs, they're parties with large blocks of coins - almost certainly miners, probably chinese or russian - who simply dump because they want cash and don't care if the market sags while they do it. My point is the trendline after each dump is more and more positive, which indicates that the market is not running away from bitcoin but quite the opposite - they see the price dip and they want to buy.

Stock market and BTC are selling off because the institutions with positions in both are heading towards bankruptcy. Aka, deflation. This is evident with bond yields rising.
The US economy without debt is worthless. Without the us economy, demand for the dollar dies. We are headed towards a massive crash, and both hyperinflation QE and deflation won't fix that.
Once those companies with positions in both start going bankrupt and defaulting or receiving gov stimmy and paying off all that debt - thats when the value of btc is going to decouple the stock market.
But that usually doesn't happen in one day, which is why expecting it to decouple in 1 day is a bad bet.

In deflation, all financial assets fail. That includes gold and crypto. Just look at 2008 where gold spiked then died. The only reason gold didn't go right back up after that is because the economy was okay enough to go on with QE... now QE's gone parabolic.
Those with big money riding on btc are also the ones in debt, that's why they can't just time it the same way we can.

I appreciate that you think this. Actually, the only utility that bitcoin does have is for money-laundering, and it's becoming even less effective for that as it becomes more and more regulated. But this is not how stores of value work because there's no value to store. Bitcoin is the opposite of inherently valuable because it's value is determined solely by people thinking other people think it has value. Gold is inherently valuable because it can be used to make jewellery and electronics and many other things. Bitcoin is an end unto itself.

Capital flight is a real use case for bitcoin. Money laundering is a form of capital flight, but what happens if millions of people need to launder their money all at once to escape to countries where the economy isn't 100% fucked?
This is the exact same use case as gold.

You know it's true. Without this premium as a "store of value" that gold has, it would be inherently worth less than copper. Copper is used far, far more in electronics. Gold's price is propped up by the same "speculation" that bitcoin's is, because that speculation is actually real value. Transferrability is real value.

>Actually, the only utility that bitcoin does have is for money-laundering
Luddite mentality.
Even in a gold based currency, you'd still be paying financial institutions to push paper that can be digital and automated.
Most currencies work without gold, it's the financial institutions that fuck it up for everyone.
Either way, it's still better to cover all your bases if you're actually preparing for a complete shift in the economy.
Even if you think it's more likely, or even inevitable, that pm backed currencies will return you should still have all the alternatives covered too.
I think crypto is more likely but i'm stacking pm too.
