>inb4 dude weed lmao
I'm a britbong, and I've seen some recent success with a cannabis medicine pilot here (Project21) as well as Cancard. Whilst recreational use isn't going to happen any time soon, I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to put a little bit of money in some companies here.

Should I invest in the dude weed lmao or not?

no. fuck no.
>bought 3 weed stocks.
>Did some research before hand. Companies look great. Lots of new products coming down the line.
>I don't know much about the stock market.
>Buy 2 weed penny stocks 100 bucks each.
>They go up for like 2 weeks.
>I've doubled my money.
>Decide not to sell but to hold onto these stocks because I own a lot of them and if they go up to 1 dollar or something I will quadruple my money.
>Weed stocks go down... literally in the red zone for 4 YEARS!
>4 years in the fuck red zone.
>I didn't even buy the stock at the top. I bought them for .02, .03, and .0075.
>They've gone downwards.

No dude the weed stocks are literally marketing for stupid people to buy into the stock market and lose whatever small amount of money they have.

You're actively hurting yourself lmao by all means stay here and put more money into someone else's pocket if that's what you wanna do
Or you should research what the consumers of the businesses you invest in actually want.

would a weed ETF like CNBS be a better idea? hard to trade individual companies when there's pretty much 0 ways to tell that any of these publicly traded ones are going to go anywhere this early in the legal weed economy and most of the weed money is being captured by small non-tradeable companies anyway

Trulieve and Curaleaf both have garbage weed and business models and only can survive because of lack of competition in Florida due to regulations. Potheads want to buy from local stores but that option isn't available here. You'd make more money growing your own weed and selling it to your neighbors instead of investing in them.

Anything where you can plant a tiny seed and produce 20lbs of the stuff without even trying isn't a good investment.

Long Term, it's a great investment, but since this is /biz/, let me explain. Long term does not mean next week, next month, or even end of year. Long term is like long cat. Long term is loooooong. But not really that long. Not ten years. More like 3.

don't do that either dude. by a productive asset and research the company.

I know nothing of the weed industry or legality in britbongland, but here in the US, the vibe I'm getting is well positioned US companies should do ok (US companies, not Canadian companies).

Anyway, memecoins is a losing game, but you know this.

go long on marijuana ETFs. its a product that can be stored in many forms for long periods of time and growth is dependent on the politics of legalization.

ETFs will hedge the risk, but by and large if one is losing they all are.

Canopy Corp made me a couple thousand this year for the run up to the elections.

I got a grav pipe and that thing is indestructable. How can they stay in business if i never need to buy another one as long as I live? A little bit of planned obsolescence can go a long way. I'm not suggesting they sell me one that will break though. I love my Grav
