>thus limiting silver's value to historical nostalgia, jewelry and industrial uses.
Post fiat collapse silver will be in even higher demand as a stable store of value, not as stable as gold but easier to buy. And in the depression we'll likely experience I'd imagine few would be able to afford gold.
I'd also argue we're going to see coins make a comeback. The Japanese prefer cash for a variety of reasons that I think will soon be very relevant in the rest of the world. It helps small businesses, feels safe, it's tangible, works without electricity, and coins in particular are seen as a very satisfying way to spend money. All of these factors would be amplified with real silver coins, while to me gold just seems too expensive to use in the same way.

1. Had my life threatened by someone claiming to be an ex-Navy Seal
2. Been told in multiple paragraphs that I will never have ovaries or be a woman
3. Been called Rabbi more times than I can count
Every time I try to get a genuine response from any of you people when I address what I have been told, I'm either called an n-word or k*ke, and am then told to "dilate", "glow" or "fud harder".

From smg some minutes ago:
This has been my bugbear for a few threads today. Can I interest you in Greensill Capital?
They do reverse factoring. Here's how it works. You're a company like Vodafone. You buy materials from suppliers and pay them a few weeks later (this is common). Greensill comes in and says to your supplier "I'll pay you now if you take 98% of the total", making money on the difference. Greensill then tells you to extend your payment terms to 2 years so your suppliers basically have to go through Greensill.
Here's where it becomes brilliant. Vodafone now owes Greensill for the payment Greensill factored. A "debt-like obligation" if you will. Except for purely technical reasons, this obligation doesn't count as debt. You literally do not have to list it on your balance sheet as debt. You simply list the payments on the totally-not-debt as operating expenses.
Greensill would likely face scrutiny for this practice if it was a bank. But Greensill isn't a bank, it's a tech company, so none of the banking regulations apply. They're a not-bank that makes not-loans that count as not-debt.
The actual payment obligations are then collateralized and sold off to investment banks, mostly Credit Suisse.

>> No.30186472

>>30186442
A few days ago Credit Suisse shut down the 2B fund they had of Greensill supply chain contracts, likely after reassessing their risk at higher interest rates. Greensill is now slowly imploding, and a bunch of companies that have been using reverse factoring to juice their balance sheets are going down with it. The best part is we have no idea what companies will go or how many. These reverse factoring obligations are not tracked in any way.
Also Softbank invested Billions into Geensill. Greensill got scrubbed from the Softbank website today (lmao) and Softbank is writing down a 1.5B loss. Softbank made this investment in the same fund that put a billion into Wirecard.
A couple Softbank-backed companies were also balls deep in Greensill financing before going under. It looks to me like Softbank invested in Greensill to basically buy a money printer to churn cash through their other investments.
Greensill is also balls deep in with Sanjeev Gupta which is a whole thing.
Oh and I forgot another great detail - Softbank also invested 500M in the Credit Suisse supply chain finance fund that held the reverse factoring obligations, a large percentage of which came from Softbank companies. Literally doing shadow financing of their own investments.
I'm losing my mind over this shit because I've been following this reverse factoring finance for a few years now absolutely shocked at what looks to me like blatant fraud, and now it's actually going. It's been totally under the radar because the scale of it isn't tracked in any way. Greensill has applied for save harbor in Australia to process insolvency in a way that shields executives from legal consequences lmao.
BaFin found Greensill was booking income from Sanjeev Gupta that had yet to be paid. Full on Enron shit.

I think we will never see another market crash at least in nominal value. Every central bank is hellbent on propping up the markets. They won't allow anything to crash.
>10Y yield is unpredictable
It's predictable. Government won't allow it to go too high. If interest rates goes too high they won't be able to pay off debts. The only question is how high will it go until they implement Yield Curve Control.

GDP is meme now it doesn't tell anything about economy. If every company in the US closed GDP would fall only by 50%. Government spending makes about 50% of GDP in every civilized nation. Public part of GDP grows while private shrinks with every month. More government spending= higher GDP.

Negative rates across the board are only going to become more and more normal. Debt and credit lending will become more common place with negative rates, as well 10Y and so on, prices will continue to climb on everything from groceries to property, and PM will likely continue to be suppressed. It will inflate in value, but will still be suppressed nonetheless. I'm convinced that this will all end with an abandonment of the brenton woods system and a return to the silver standard to peg our money to.

>gdp growth of ten percent.

Lemme tell you something. We aren't gonna see shit. As soon as the government stops giving people money the charade comes crashing down. People have been getting paid for the last year more money to not work than to work. They have been spending this money, and retarded boomers thinks that this somehow signifies a strong economy. They then base a 10% gdp growth based on this fact. All the boomers are waiting on this "miraculous recovery" to happen and it already did. It happened back in May when the dow returned to 30,000 levels.

See, most states didn't lock down as the communist states did. I've been able to go to the gym this whole time. Businesses have been open this whole time. It's only in retarded states where they think everyone's been "locked down" and this economic recovery is right around the corner.

50% of small businesses have gone bankrupt since covid. Millions of people have lost their jobs and not gotten them back. These people have been given government money to spend that was more than they had before.

My question is this? How can anyone in their right mind think that the economy is "strong" or that there is "an economic recovery right around the corner"? How fucking stupid do you have to be?

Also let me ask this. Do you even realize what a fucking ten percent gdp growth is? I don't think the US has ever hit that number. A high growth for us is like three percent for fucks sake.

Seriously. People are dumb.

utterly inane, baseless comment that is a waste of life responding too, but nonetheless here i am

a) covid is not 'ending'

b) even if covid was 'ending', does this magically bring about economic recovery? does debt magically vanish? do fiat currencies now magically have value? does manufacturing and some semblance of a healthy economy magically return? all because a fabricated social crisis ceases?

And when they reopen economy money velocity will go up significantly and that will be final catalyst for hyperinflation.
Less business and more customers equals higher prices. Higher prices will start domino effect in whole economy.
>Gold prices will plummet
Why because you said so? It's miracle they stayed that low without defaulting COMEX. And people will start buying jewelry again with your "economic boom".

But please do your due diligence and research first, never "ape" into stocks or assets you don't understand anon, it rarely works out well. Silver isn't going to freefall anytime soon if that's what you're asking. If you don't have any physical at all yet and like the deal, go for it. As for later, Powell had to get dragged out of bed for a noon conference where he's going to give insight on what the Fed is doing about the 10Y yield rate. Depending on how that goes, it can impact the markets which will impact the silver spot price temporarily, for better or worse. Though others could also argue it's moot anyways since supply is so pressed that there's 5 to 10 dollar premiums already. Up to you.

To my knowledge they don't have any intentions of selling off any of their sites to anyone for development and production. Pretty sure the ceo explicitly said in one of his interviews or statements that they will produce. They're not going to be production ready until late this year anyways, assuming no hickups and good assay labs. Their CEO is a carry over from the marijuana industry which was worrying at first until you see he's actually a triple digit millionaire (if memory serves) and has decades of experience in the minerals industry as head honcho of company departments and previously ceo's of some too. He exercised options to buy a ton of shares in blue lagoon so that's always a good sign. Blue Lagoon I think has good upside and will succeed regardless because of their historical sites with proven reserves they hold. How much upside, we'll have to wait to see their assay labs in a month for starters on their current exploration work, so far as short to mid term goes.

That thread made my stomach turn. The Basel III banking accords' recategorization of gold as a tier-1 asset is a pretty strong signal that shiny rocks as monetary instruments are far from obsolete, right?

And what PM-enriched celestial bodies or Space detritus do they think is floating around within reach of humanity? If nickel, iron, and olivine were precious then maybe, but I've never heard of viably rich gold, silver, or PGM meteorites being found. If the most gold-enriched meteorites are 10ppm that is only 10 grams per ton, not remotely enough to justify the gargantuan expense of retooling an industry to mine asteroids in fucking space. PGMs are nonmonetary and irrelevant and Silver is not siderophilic like PGMs and gold so is unlikely to be found in any quantity.
