Yes, it's a collection of books and teachings handed down from the Egyptians (who supposedly got it from Thoth/Enoch/Hermes, the possible architect of the pyramids) to the Greeks and rediscovered in the renaissance by a small tribe in Syria. You can read some modern English translations. I recommend the Kybalion which boils the essence of it down into a single book. It's popular in prisons as I can attest it makes you consider the latent power within all of us to make change. Helped me get over a 1.5 year depressive episode.
