I recently lost my sister to suicide and it's been horrible trying to help my family out while they pay for her funeral and also are going through the worst turmoil, I'm trying to help them as I can but I'm really the only one working they both took off work to take care of everything and I'm afraid this might have done my dad in emotionally, he's been checked out completely I was wondering if anyone had been through something like this, I'm trying to get enough saved to pay for everything after it's done so they don't have to worry about going into debt to bury her.

If it's any use, the guy teaching me told me to take out my initial margin after I double it when I started out, then I'm risk free, I think it helps psychologically even though there is that temptation to keep it in there to make even more money. a bit more about my own strategy. I currently have 3 accounts, one for longer term (multiday) trades at low leverage with most of my funds, one for shorter time frames using no more than 7-8x leverage, and a degen account that I'll leverage up to 50x but never with more than $100 in it. any profits from my degen account are moved out after closing a trade so that I'm back to my $100 entries. simple example:
you buy 1000 USD in BTC.
BTC goes up and your amount of BTC is now worth 1100 USD.
You trade BTC for ETH. You pay taxes on your gains (so 1100 current value -1000 starting basis = 100 profit to tax).
Now your running basis is 1100. You trade ETH for BTC but the prices have not moved. No profit = no tax.
So holding for a year means you pay either no or low taxes. but then you risk not being able to pull out during really good timings in the market.
What will the market be worth 1 year from now (in burger land you need to wait 1 year for reduced rate taxes on gains, including 0%)
