If suddenly all fiat and precious metals went worthless how would we measure value of crypto?
If usd become worthless and lets say 1 btc is worth 40 bln usd, it is still worthless.

all prices come from supply and demand whether manipulated or not. you probably also are misunderstanding the difference in value between fiat currency and commodity money. it is truthful and not far from it to say all cryptos are useless as of yet, and even if they have a mathematical supply cap, the demand is pointless because there is no use case other than buying and holding it before you sell it

Whatever the market values it at. Before gold, Whale Tusks and Beads was the base currency. China didn't even consider metals to be the value behind paper contracts, it was the Dynasty rule. If you failed to uphold the contract you'd get killed.

Even the value of the current USD isn't based on boomer metal, it's the value of how fearful the world is against the US Military. If the world fails to uphold the USD as the international trade currency, nuclear war.
