Honestly $50,000 in 10 years is probably lowballing it. Satis investment group thought it would be $40,000 by 2030 and that was before the darknet started to adopt Monero as defacto currency for everything illegal and private under the sun.

I think $1,000,000 by 2030 is more realistic.

Irrational market = tentative timelines. But their core estimation i.e. that criminal adoption and black money influxes will drive future XMR growth is pretty much spot on.

In other words, less likely to be accurate in the short-term, more likely to be accurate in the long-term.

Why would they even want to touch BTC when it's literally under 24/7 government surveillance and subject to blacklisting and third-party seizure?

Fiat is easy for them to cash out into because organized crime is flush with copious amounts of cash by default.

So, XMR<->cash can be accomplished without ever relying on a third party i.e. banking industry, for every gangster that needs to cash in there will be another looking to cash out, rinse and repeat.
