It's not decentralized is the problem.
People complain "cardano is vaporware", which is pretty much bullshit, but at least it's actually decentralized and serves the purpose of what we're doing here being involved with cryptocurrency and DeFi.
Polkadot would just end up like the federal reserve of crypto if it became the dominant platform. It would just be a centralized body in control of everything. It would be everything we're trying to avoid. Probably would end up being controlled china too, which is something people say about bitcoin when they don't understand bitcoin, but polkadot could genuinely end up being controlled by china.
