yeah same. im unemployed for like 3 years now and the last time i had a job it was only for 6 months. actually i have only been employed for a total of like 12 months in the last 10 years. I don't give a shit. Oh btw - i just lie on my resume and have 800+ connections on LinkedIn anyway. I LOOK legit but its still hard to find a job.
Gonna pretend i had a job up until Corona and fill my resume wiht fake shit thats untraceable and try once all of this is over.

I would probably already have a job right now if it weren't for COVID. My trade school closed for a few months and instead of finishing before summer, I get to come back in september, probably up into november to get my diploma. Even when I get my diploma i still have to ask around and actually find the fucking job, it's been 100% impossible to find an internships, there are still a bunch of holdovers from the batch of guys before us who still haven't done an internship and still aren't working, one full year after they got their diplomas.
Trade schools are based compared to colleges, but holy fuck the whole system sucks dick. I'm in Electromechanics, essentially electrician but for industrial equipment.

I write smut for 2-3 hours a day and get paid about £20 for 2k words on average. Or £40 per 2k on a good day. I can pay my rent (halved living with brother). Beyond that I can spend all day in doors chilling and doing what I want so long as I just write 2k per day. Get the satisfaction of people enjoying my work which is also nice.

I had a day job. Fuck that. I keep a picture of me working my job (fast food) on the wall above my computer to remind me how good I've got it writing smut and getting paid. No managers, no colleagues. Can take a day off when I feel like, etc. Meet my own deadlines.

It's not a lot of money but I also don't want a high paying job and being locked into working for a company. I'd much rather have less and live frugally. The system is rigged and I intend to be comfy. It's like NEET life but I also get paid. Win win.

Like I said, mow lawns then. Landscapers are always looking for people with little to no experience. I started 3 years ago and now am getting trained on irrigation (sprinklers). It's a great lifestyle, and I've done a lot of office work, landscaping is a bucolic dream compared to that and warehouse jobs. You gotta be tuff though son.

ive had multiple resume gaps and field changes, but I work in gov compliance so its really just being able to do the job when you get in. nobody has asked me about my past positions, as I do well enough at this one.
I'm past the 'reaping period' now and I'm rarely contacted so long as I do my work, and stay punched in for 40 hours. Just fake it until you make it, or in this case fake it until you figure out the job, then make it.

that could be a smart way to double your money, assuming your customers don't mind you sharing their commissions. it doesn't hurt to have some extra income, you never know when you might need a few days off or get hit with an unexpected bill. you could also try selling your stories on amazon or something, even if only a few people pay a few bucks each to download it, that's more money than you had before for basically no extra work.
