Institutional investors got in contact with eachother before buying Bitcoin.
They set up some way to communicate with eachother and devised a plan.
They paid F2Pool, a big Bitcoin mining company for a price suppression service.
F2Pool dumps their Bitcoin in strategic spots to keep Bitcoin's price down at around 47k.
The institutional investors pay a sum of money for this service and they get to buy cheap Bitcoin.
Fantom, like all altcoins, follow Bitcoin's price movements, but I think there could be a whole other price manipulation going on with Fantom also.
